This letter serves to validate the outstanding service and commitment to the University of Colorado at Colorado springs demonstrated by Mr. Bart Rice, attorney at law.

Mr. Rice is a friend of the university, without whom we would be unable to transform the former Larry and Dorothy Heller home to the Heller Center for Arts and Humanities. Mr. Rice advised his client, Mrs. Betty Taylor, of the opportunity to make the Heller Center possible. In a rare combination of integrity and legal prowess, Mr. Rice represented his client's wishes by arranging for the sale of real estate in Montana, dividing the proceeds of the sale in a fair and equitable manner, and ensuring that his client's final wishes were met.

Through this process, Mr. Rice effectively represented his client and her final wishes while benefiting UCCS and the greater Colorado Springs Community. For these actions, Mr. Rice has earned my enduring respect and my highest recommendation.
